ChatDealer is an AI chat assistant for car dealerships. It is operated by ANB Digital LLC in Katy, Texas. This page explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you contact us about ChatDealer. If you send a demo request through the form on this site, or email or call us, we receive your name, dealership name, phone number, email address and anything you tell us in your message.
When you visit this website. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, logs basic technical data such as IP address and browser type to run and protect the site. The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts and CDNFonts, which can receive your IP address when the page loads.
When you use the chat assistant on a dealership website. The assistant receives the messages you type. If you ask for a test drive or a follow up, it may also collect your name, phone number, email address and the vehicles you are interested in.

Chat information belongs to the dealership

When ChatDealer runs on a dealership website, the dealership decides why and how visitor information is used. We process it on the dealership's behalf, to run the assistant and to send the lead to the dealership's sales team. If you have a question about how a dealership uses your information, please contact that dealership directly.

How we use information

To reply to people who contact us about ChatDealer.
To operate, secure and improve this website.
To let the assistant answer visitor questions and pass leads, such as test drive requests, to the dealership.

We do not use chats to train AI models.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We use a few service providers because the service cannot run without them, and we send them only what they need:

Anthropic, which provides the Claude AI model that writes the assistant's replies.
An email delivery provider, which sends lead emails to the dealership.
Cloudflare, which hosts this website and stores lead details in its database service.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Demo requests and lead details, such as a name, phone number or email collected by the assistant for a test drive or follow up, are stored in our database for up to 6 months and then deleted automatically. We also send them to the dealership. We do not store chat transcripts.

Our service providers may keep limited records under their own policies. For example, Anthropic generally deletes the messages sent to its API within 30 days. Messages you send us directly by email are kept only as long as needed to answer you.

About the AI assistant

The assistant is an AI. It can make mistakes, so please confirm important details such as prices, availability and financing with the dealership. Please do not share payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords or health information in the chat.

Security

Information is sent over encrypted connections, and access is limited to people who need it to provide the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

ChatDealer is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you or to delete it before the 6 months are up. Email help@anbdigitaltx.com or call 346-322-1687. For chats on a dealership website, you can also ask the dealership.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
